Carry-On Bag Policy Spirit allows for one (1) free carry-on at no charge for each non-revenue traveler. Maximum of 22 x 18 x10 inches (56 x 46 x 25 cm) including handles and wheels. Spirit additionally allows for one (1) free personal item (purse, small backpack, etc.) for under seat storage.

Dimensions must not exceed 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45 x 35 x 20 cm) including handles and wheels.

Checked Bag Policy Spirit allows for one (1) free checked bag. Maximum weight is 50 pounds (22.6 kg) and maximum size is 62 inches (158 cm)(length + width + height) per checked piece of luggage.

Any bag that exceeds these dimensions or weight limit is considered oversized/overweight and has a corresponding charge. Spirit does not accept bags that weigh more than 100 pounds (45 kg) or that measure more than 80 linear inches (203 cm) in overall dimensions.

Additional bags may be purchased on spirit.com under Manage Travel at the regular guest rate. (Tip: Purchasing additional bags is cheaper before/during Check-In versus at the airport)

All travelers utilizing employee non-rev benefits are expected to look the part and meet personal appearance guidelines outlined in the Spirit Team Member Handbook. Sign in using your Spirit RA credentials. Some airlines that Spirit has agreements with may have slightly different dress codes therefore it is recommended that you dress business casual.
